“Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates." Proverbs 31 KJV
I have been supremely blessed to have the best mother in the world! Of, course all of us that have had superb mothers feel this way, but I have a KNOWING of this to be so! My mother made sure I was raised in church, to love God, to know Him and the power of His might, and to know Him personally! She taught me the Bible as though she were a scholar, and under her tutelage I have most of it memorized by heart! This is the greatest thing my mother has ever given me!!
In growing up,(actually my latter teen years) my brother and I were children of privilege to a certain degree. My father worked in medicine, but my mother never let grass grow under her feet. We wore the best, ate the best, and had the best of almost everything. I don't say this to brag! It is mere fact. My mother knew how to invest and is a very wise woman! She also taught school for many years. The only reason I write about the material aspects of my childhood is to tell you from experience of all the things my mother gave to me nothing compares to what she gave me when she "trained me up in the way a child should go" in the things of God!
What good are material things when you are dying and going to hell for all eternity?? How can material wealth even compare with the goodness of God?? The Bible tells us NOT to lay up treasures in this life, where moth corrupts and rust decays! Now there is nothing wrong with things, but don't trade "brass for gold" either. Had my mother only seen to the material things and not to the spiritual, she would have failed us greatly! I would not be the mother I am today, passing the blessing of knowing God to my children, and I would be failing them miserably!
I have an acquaintance. She is a very dear person, but God has never been a priority in her life or in her family's lives. I tried to witness to her and she would always reject it as not being as important as what "I made it out to be". She had a son about my son's age. I got an urgent message not long ago this young man had been in a terrible automobile accident and had a brain injury and the doctors were giving little hope he would make it.
I began to remember how she always saw to it this young man had the best of all the "toys". He had the finest jet ski, the best boat, and when he started driving it wasn't Dad's hand me down car, it was a BMW. Yet, Sunday after Sunday she NEVER took this child to church. As long as I knew them she never placed any emphasis on God whatsoever!
This child grew up and hated his parents and separated himself completely from them. All the riches in the world could not buy this child's love or relationship. The prayer I was asked to pray was that his life be spared because he WAS NOT saved! They knew this young man would not make it to Heaven.
All the riches this life can bring cannot get you into Heaven! If you are not wealthy but, if you have taught your children to know Jesus, you have given them what Bill Gates himself does not have money enough to buy! You can't buy the blood of Jesus and salvation. Only Jesus has that to give and it is given FREELY to all who ask in faith! You have given your children far more than "the world"! You have given them Heaven and heaven on earth!
If you haven't given your children Jesus, dear mother, start today. Give yourself first and God will lead you in bringing your children to God. This will literally be the best "Mother's Day" you or your children could ever ask for!

Excellent! Very inspiring for mothers and especially young mothers.
