I would like to dedicate this blog to the Cardiac Cathorization Lab of Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital. You are all so special to my family and we greatly appreciate each and every one of you!!
I used to be the world's worst of saying the medical community was far overpaid! I have changed my tune!! My mother's nurse works 13 hour days for a solid week. Now she does get more time off than normal, but while you are in such a strenuous shift you get "bone" tired! She also has little ones at home to boot. As I watched the doctors, nurses, nurses aides, dining room workers, valet parking, patient tranferrers, etc. I thought to myself how there could be no way I could keep up that pace, not to mention all of the stress that goes with these jobs, like they did. They deserve every cent they make and then some! They were all so kind to us, gracious and considerate! Even hospital administrators stopped by Mama's room to say, "If you need anything, you have them call me!" How kind they all were! I love the fact, that in the middle of the day over the intercom comes a devotional and heartfelt prayer of healing for those who are sick. I love the mission statement, "Extending the healing hand of Jesus Christ to every patient!" What a great attitude and maintaining of focus of Jesus and the Healer He is! To have people taking care of your loved one, and bring faith in God where their hands are unable to administer the healing that is needed is a blessing beyond words! I thank all that took such great care of my mother! You are so appreciated! May God bless you all so richly for your compassion and consideration! You truly are "unsung heroes!"
