All Is Well!

My mother is having her pacemaker put in as I write this.  I am in the Cath Lab office of the hospital and, glory to God, I am in total peace!  I know her doctor's hands are being guided by God Himself.  I know my mother and I, along with all of her other prayer partners have agreed that all will go well and she will be fit as a fiddle before we know it!  My dad is a bit nervous, but I understand!  I love the scripture I have titled this particular blog after.  2 Kings 4:16-26  16Elisha said, At this season when the time comes round, you shall embrace a son. She said, No, my lord, you man of God, do not lie to your handmaid.
But the woman conceived and bore a son at that season the following year, as Elisha had said to her.
When the child had grown, he went out one day to his father with the reapers.
But he said to his father, My head, my head! The man said to his servant, Carry him to his mother.
And when he was brought to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died.
And she went up and laid him on the bed of the man of God, and shut the door upon him and went out.
And she called to her husband and said, Send me one of the servants and one of the donkeys, that I may go quickly to the man of God and come back again.
And he said, Why go to him today? It is neither the New Moon nor the Sabbath. And she said, It will be all right.
Then she saddled the donkey and said to her servant, Ride fast; do not slacken your pace for me unless I tell you.
So she set out and came to the man of God at Mount Carmel. When the man of God saw her afar off, he said to Gehazi his servant, Behold, yonder is that Shunammite.
Run to meet her and say, Is it well with you? Well with your husband? Well with the child? And she answered, IT IS WELL.
When she came to the mountain to the man of God, she clung to his feet. Gehazi came to thrust her away, but the man of God said, Let her alone, for her soul is bitter and vexed within her, and the Lord has hid it from me and has not told me.
Then she said, Did I desire a son of my lord? Did I not say, Do not deceive me?
Then he said to Gehazi, Gird up your loins and take my staff in your hand and go lay my staff on the face of the child. If you meet any man, do not salute him. If he salutes you, do not answer him.
The mother of the child said, As the Lord lives and as my soul lives, I will not leave you. And he arose and followed her.
Gehazi passed on before them and laid the staff on the child's face, but the boy neither spoke nor heard. So he went back to meet Elisha and said to him, The child has not awakened.
When Elisha arrived in the house, the child was dead and laid upon his bed.
So he went in, shut the door on the two of them, and prayed to the Lord.
He went up and lay on the child, put his mouth on his mouth, his eyes on his eyes, and his hands on his hands. And as he stretched himself on him and embraced him, the child's flesh became warm.
Then he returned and walked in the house to and fro and went up again and stretched himself upon him. And the child sneezed seven times, and then opened his eyes.
Then [Elisha] called Gehazi and said, Call this Shunammite. So he called her. And when she came, he said, Take up your son.
She came and fell at his feet, bowing herself to the ground. Then she took up her son and went out.

Notice this woman's confession.  Her "reality" was her child was DEAD!  He wasn't just having a few symptoms, he was DEAD!!  But the TRUTH was ALL WAS WELL!!  GLORY TO GOD!!   I am so glad our "realities" aren't our "truths" if we are trusting in the word of God!!  Notice, his mother never said, "My son is dead, but I think God can..."  She never let those words out of her mouth!  That is true confidence in God!  I am so glad our confidence does not lay on what we see, feel, hear, or taste!  It isn't in our five senses or in the ability of man!  It is in God and His word which is one in itself!  I just got word from my mother's doctor as I am writing this ALL IS WELL!  She did great and is coming out soon!  No matter what you are going through, my dear reader, know God has it and ALL IS WELL!  We get in trouble when we start talking our "realities' instead of God's truths!  What a different road we could be on, if we kept the confession of our mouth in line with what God says!  Remember the Bible says the "dunamis"  POWER of LIFE and DEATH is in the tongue! The Hebrew word "dunamis" means dynamic in its working!  The word "dynamite" comes from this Hebrew word.   Dynamite can literally demolish whole buildings if you apply enough of it.  The same power works by the things we say!   Have you ever heard someone say, "This is a matter of life and death!!!"  When you do, you know people take that seriously and things get moving!  That is the same way it is in the spirit!  We literally control our world because God has given us that authority in the name of Jesus by what we say!  If we say, "I just don't believe I will live to be very old!"  You have just cursed your own future.  That wasn't God's plan!  His word says with long life he will satisfy us and our youth will be renewed like the eagle!  He says even in old age we will flourish!  Flourish means in the Hebrew "fresh, green, fruitful, and prospering".  I had a pastor that knew a young man that was a very gifted singer!  He idolized Elvis Presley.  According to this pastor, he was very close in talent to the so called "King of Rock and Roll'.  He had said for many years and would tell his wife, "I am going to die when I am 42, because Elvis died at that age and I want to be just like him in every way!"  When my former pastor told this part of the story I actually thought, "How foolish can any one person be??"  I was truly astonished anyone could lack sense to this degree that was so gifted, so talented!  Even if he was an imbicile, I would think he would know better than to say something like this!   He said this often to his wife and would not listen when people corrected him and told him not to speak that way.  I am sure you can guess, but this man contracted cancer and he died at age 42!  How sad!  He was a gospel singer and had even made a few albums, but even in  all the knowledge he possessed he still would not control his mouth and it literally got the best of him!  He could have had a dynamic future in gospel music.  He could have literally helped people with songs of redemption and peace, but instead chose a much different and "lower" road.  He chose death over life!  Keep your mouth from speaking evil and your days will be long the Bible tells us!  Thank God, His truth supercedes our "realities"!  It is just as easy to speak a blessing on yourself, your family, and others you come in contact with as it is to speak words of negativity.  Let your mouth be full of wisdom and let the blessing of the Lord pour forth in your conversations and not only will your life be better, but the lives of those you come in contact with will be as well.  Have a blessed day all day, my dear reader!
