Pooped, But In A Happy Way!

In just four days my son will graduate from RHEMA BIBLE INSTITUTE in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and move home to start his new life as a minister. I am so grateful to God and so proud of my son!
This decision to go to RHEMA built my son and prepared him for the ministry and it also probably saved my mother’s life. It started my new journey as a writer, of sorts, in the process as well. This is something I have always wanted to do but never had the guts to do until now! One thing just set off the others.
My mother, as my readers know, had a valve that was in severe need of repair. She brushed death twice. It was devastating for me to watch and she kept telling us her mind was made up she was NOT having the surgery. I don’t believe she would have, but the last time, with my son graduating before her mind, pushed her to finally say yes to open heart surgery.
To make a long story short, she ended up with some new symptoms that had to be addressed and a pacemaker was necessary. Now, praise God, my mother has turned into WONDER WOMAN! I am having to drive her still and she is going full force. Everyday, she has a new thing on the agenda, and there literally is one! BUT, I would rather have my mother acting like the energizer bunny and wearing me out, than the alternative which is today I probably would not have her at all anymore on this earth.
It is so important to follow your heart even in what seems the smallest of things! It is like a ripple effect. One thing does set off so many others! In this case, my son choosing to answer what God had for him literally effected all of our lives in this family. In mine indescribable joy and a physical fulfillment of my prayers, in my mother’s, the saving of her physical life, in my husband’s a fulfillment of many prayers, in my daughter’s a building of faith beyond measure, in my father’s relief!
We move my son back to Texas Saturday. I am looking so forward to it, but at the same time wonder how on earth I am going to get it all done. I think I may just send my mother, the new energizer bunny, in there and let her whip it all out! Thank God, I think she can actually do it now!
Have a great night my dear readers and thank you for taking your valuable time to read the blog!
