Problems are simply environmnets for the power of God to thrive! --Pastor Chad Gonzalez, College Station, TX
I love this quote! I saw it today and I bet you can guess where. If you guessed Facebook, you are right! This pastor has said some things that have really stuck with me. One of them is "God's favorite game is 'show and tell'"; another is, "There is a boundary by which God has set for our bodies to function within and we have the authority to call them into that boundary by the name of Jesus!" These are just a few of the quotes I have heard him say that have made me stop and think. This particular quote has REALLY grabbed my attention because, as obvious as this is, I have never thought of it quite like this. Without problems, and Jesus made it abundantly clear we would have trouble in this life, we would not need power to overcome, see them annihilated, or be given the wisdom of the Holy Spirit on how to handle them! I heard a minister say once, "Trouble is your friend!' I have to tell you, I didn't like that statement one bit! The last thing I want is trouble!! But, trouble does come, I don't care what you are doing and saying!! Think about Paul, Silas, Peter, Timothy, and John the Revelator just to name a few. They didn't do anything wrong or open a door to the enemy for the things to happen to them that would be considered "trouble". Jesus does NOT lie, dear reader, and I am telling you straight out of the the Bible He says we WILL have it! BUT, Jesus also says in John 16:33 NLT "I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world." This is when we see the power of God so greatly displayed! When trouble shows up, Jesus shows out!!! That is a saying my family always said. "showing out" meant showing what you could do with certain talents and capabilities! It could also mean how someone could put someone in "their place"! Well, that is what Jesus has done! He has put satan in his place which is under our feet! GLORY TO GOD!!! Jesus has shown HIS capability on OUR behalf!! If you are a shouting Christian, doesn't that just make you want to shout right now? God thrives in an environment of problems because you literally visibly see the effects of His manifested power! Sometimes I think our lives are like a book that is literally being written. The life of a Christian is fascinating. You can ask various Christians to tell you some things God has done especially for them and it will amaze you! Without a doubt God's power thrived in certain situations that person was facing. When you are tempted to give up on something remember to look at the situation through spiritual eyes. Know God is working on the what you cannot see and the outcome will be a SEEN victory! Just "chalk" another one up to God, if you will. That is another saying we say when someone "tops" what another person does when that person thinks they have the upper hand! The power of God will always "top" what the enemy is TRYING, not accomplishing, in your life! Victory is yours! Walk in it and with great joy because God is thriving when you may feel you are not! You will see it! Never give up! Thrive in joy today, my dear reader, for this day and everyday is YOUR day of great blessing and thriving! Have a blessed and THRIVING day, my dear reader, ALL day!
