STOP WORRYING!

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life[a]?
28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:25-34 NIV

I had a pastor's wife one time that gave me a very valuable piece of advice. She always called me baby and she claimed me as one of her own. This is what she said, "Baby, as long as you are busy putting out the devil's little fires, he will always be sure there is a little fire to chase down and put out!" Have you ever seen a Christian who is more concentrated on what their circumstances are than what God says about it? They are literal nervous wrecks. As soon as one issue is over in their life here comes another. They are like trouble magnets! Why? Because their approach to God is panic and fear and not FAITH. I do not understand why, in some Christian circles, the words FAITH AND JOY are looked at like four letter words!! I heard a minister say one time whenever someone would come down for prayer the first words out his mouth were, "What scripture are you standing on?" If they didn't have one he knew they were praying out of fear not out of FAITH! I will never forget that! It literally turned my prayer life around! I quit coming to God begging, bawling, and panicking and when I did JOY filled my prayer life! Why?? Because I came to God with His word which is POWER!!! God wants to give you ALL good things. He says so in the Word! But, there are laws in the spirit just as there are laws on the earth. God is perfect and will not violate the law! Just as a lawyer would never approach a judge without a law or precedence, we have to do the same thing in prayer. Where do you think the justice system got all of their ideas on law from? GOD! If you can find in the Bible where God did something for ONE person, HE WILL DO IT FOR YOU!!!! He is no respecter of persons!! When I come to God with His word on a matter I don't have to wonder or "hope" it will be done. I know, without a doubt it will be done because God said His word is full of POWER AND WILL NOT RETURN VOID BUT WILL ACCOMPLISH ALL THAT HE HAS SET FORTH FOR IT TO DO!! I love that word ALL! He didn't say some, He said all! Mark 11:23 says if we come to God in FAITH He will give us WHATEVER we ask for...that mountains will even be cast into the sea on our behalf, IF we pray in faith! Are you panicking and worrying and begging or are you coming to God in faith and standing on His word until you see the manifestation of it coming to pass? Ask yourself, "What scripture am I standing on concerning this?" If you don't have one, then you know the answer to this question! Are you frustrated or full of joy? This, too, will answer if you are in faith or worry. Jesus became very frustrated with His disciples when they were in their boat and a mighty storm came up. The Amplified called it of "hurricane proportions" the wind was so fierce. Guess where Jesus was. Asleep in the bottom of the ship. The disciples woke Him and asked Jesus don't you care we are all about to be goners?? I'm paraphrasing, of course. The Bible then says Jesus looked at them with frustration and said, "Oh ye of little faith! Peace be still!"
In other words, after all they had seen FAITH do, why didn't they just speak to the wind and believe it would cease? SPEAK, NOT BEG!! Approach God with JOY AND BELIEVING my friend. He tells us to enter His gates with thanksgiving in our hearts and into His court with PRAISE! Let us be obedient to God and watch our prayer lives be filled with joy and not panic! Peace that rules out all fear will then garrison our hearts! Let us put our concentration on what God is doing and not what the devil is just lying about doing! Have a blessed day, all day!
